Screen boots up dim black.
Solution:
When the computer turns on and stabalizes in a black screen, the following procedure will turn off the dim feature.
1. Press the function key with the brightnes icon.
2. Press the [Tab] key, then press the [Enter] key.
3. Press the [Tab] key, then press the [Enter] key.
4. Press the [Tab] key 2 times, then the space bar.
If one gets the process mixed up, reboot the computer and restart the procedure.
